Handmade Clothes for Small Dogs I had to laugh when I read an article recently about dressing your chihuahua in clothes. Dressed-up dogs are not something you commonly see in England, where I live. But I can see why little dogs without thick fur would need some extra protection against the elements, especially in climates that are more extreme than the UK. Apparently, though, dressing your small dog in clothes is not just about protection from the elements but also a matter of fun and fashion! I gather that there are even fashion shows for dogs, in the USA at any rate. Well, if you have a small dog and you'd like to buy high quality, unique, handmade and stylish outfits for your little pooch, then you should take a look at DaisyWaisy Poochwear (www.daisywaisypoochwear.com). Daisy's very talented owner started the business after receiving many requests from people who had seen Daisy wearing her outfits. The site features cute photos of Daisy, a pretty little Yorkie, modelling her clothes and there are also photos of "satisfied customers" wearing clothes their owners bought from the site - you can have your pooch's photo added too if you buy something from there. There are various styles of dresses and vests to choose from, in all sorts of beautiful fabrics. You can select from items already made up or have something custom made. This charming little business is based in New Jersey, and the stated shipping costs apply to the "USA 48 States" but you can ask for shipping costs to other countries. I have a feeling that high quality, individual, handmade "poochwear" like this will be hard to obtain elsewhere, especially outside America. I do wonder what the dogs think about all this. I can't imagine dressing our Alsatian (German Shepherd) up in clothes! But Daisy certainly seems to enjoy wearing her pretty outfits.
